From Vision to Viability: How Dr. Becky Allen & Dr. Corrie Maguire Built The Genesis Way
On this episode of Pivot to Profit, host Pam Jordan talks with Dr. Becky Allen and Dr. Corrie Maguire, the powerhouse team behind Genesis PT & Wellness. Their story is one of passion meeting purpose, and vision meeting strategy—together redefining what pelvic health care and entrepreneurship can look like.
From Humble Beginnings to Momentum
When Becky first launched Genesis, her goal was simple: cover rent and create flexibility while raising two young children. “If I could see four patients a week, it was worth it,” she recalls. But soon she realized there was much more potential. Her first financial win—paying herself $5,000 from the business—was the spark that proved Genesis could be bigger than she imagined.
Enter Corrie Maguire, whose operational expertise balanced Becky’s visionary drive. Where Becky saw possibility, Corrie asked the critical “how” questions: Do we have a process? Is this sustainable? Together, they built Genesis into not just a practice, but a thriving business with multiple clinics and a growing team.
Redefining Pelvic Health
Genesis PT & Wellness is on a mission to change the narrative around pelvic health. It’s not just about Kegels or quick fixes—it’s about a whole-person approach. Their method considers posture, breath, stress, nervous system health, and lifestyle patterns. This comprehensive framework works both in-person and virtually, helping patients across the U.S. and even internationally.
Recently, Becky launched Genesis’s first online pelvic floor rehab program, guiding women through recovery from prolapse and leakage issues while exercising. The success of this program highlighted the strength of their model: root cause analysis, personalized movement, and building resilience for lasting results.
Getting Serious About Numbers
Like many purpose-driven entrepreneurs, Becky and Corrie had to learn that passion alone doesn’t guarantee sustainability. With the support of Pivot Business Group’s fractional CFO team, they began tracking profitability by clinic, pricing their services more strategically, and making data-driven decisions. Dashboards and financial models now support their growth, ensuring the business thrives without requiring Becky to “do it all.”
The Genesis Way
What started as a clinical philosophy is now a broader framework—The Genesis Way. It encompasses how they treat patients, run operations, and lead their team culture. Through courses, coaching, and mentorship, they’re teaching other clinicians and business owners to do pelvic health—and business—differently and better.
Advice for Health Entrepreneurs
Both Becky and Corrie stress the importance of asking for help. “Stay in your lane of genius and delegate the rest,” they advise. For them, that meant hiring financial experts, investing in coaching, and focusing on what they love most—transforming pelvic health and building a sustainable, people-first business.
