Own Your Awesome: Miranda VonFricken on Personal Branding, Profitability, and LinkedIn Mastery

In a world where visibility and influence can make or break a business, Miranda VonFricken has mastered the art of personal branding. From navigating four corporate layoffs to building a thriving entrepreneurial career, Miranda has transformed setbacks into stepping stones for success.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Miranda on my podcast, where she shared her journey, insights on financial management, and why LinkedIn is her platform of choice for business growth.

From Corporate to Entrepreneurship

After spending 15-20 years in corporate roles, Miranda experienced four layoffs that reshaped her career trajectory. Each layoff prompted her to start side hustles, but it wasn’t until the pandemic that she took the full leap into entrepreneurship.

One of her biggest struggles in the early days? Managing her finances. She started with post-its and notebooks before learning to track her numbers strategically. Joining a coaching program introduced her to profit-first concepts, multiple bank accounts, and the importance of tax planning. Today, she runs her business with a “Money Monday” routine to stay on top of her finances.

Building a Personal Brand with Purpose

Miranda believes that everyone already has a personal brand—it’s just a matter of refining and amplifying it. She encourages entrepreneurs to think about how they want people to feel when encountering their brand.

Her Magnetize and Monetize framework on LinkedIn helps entrepreneurs attract their ideal audience by focusing on:
1️⃣ Visual Presence – How you present yourself and your brand.
2️⃣ Active Presence – How you engage and interact on the platform.
3️⃣ Gifts Presence – Your offerings and how you convert connections into clients.

Why LinkedIn?

With over 1 billion members, LinkedIn is Miranda’s go-to platform because it operates like a professional networking event. Unlike casual social platforms, LinkedIn is built for business-minded conversations. She recommends sharing core values, struggles, and business realities while creating content that energizes and motivates your audience.

Financial Growth & Mindset Shifts

Miranda’s financial management journey evolved from scattered notes to structured systems like QuickBooks and Excel. She now balances both an analytical approach ("masculine" tracking) with an abundant mindset ("feminine" flow), making investment decisions based on ROI and personal engagement levels.

What’s Next for Miranda?

Miranda is expanding her reach with new books and speaking engagements. She’s currently:

✅ Launching Unlocking Success with Jack Canfield.
✅ Writing her third book.
✅ Hosting an event to help women share their missions through writing.

Miranda’s story is proof that owning your brand and finances can lead to unlimited opportunities.
