From Scarcity to Freedom: Jerremy Newsome’s Powerful Lessons on Wealth, Mindset, and Financial Freedom

On a recent episode of Pivot to Profit, Pam Jordan sat down with entrepreneur, investor, and wealth coach Jerremy Newsome for an inspiring conversation about money, investing, and the mindset shifts required to create true financial freedom.

Jerremy’s story is anything but ordinary. Raised in rural Georgia with very little money and few conversations about finances, he learned early that wealth was mysterious. But one scene from Forrest Gump changed everything. When Forrest mentioned investing in a “fruit company” and never worrying about money again, young Jerremy became obsessed with learning how money really worked.

That curiosity eventually led him to invest in Apple stock as a child, launching a lifelong passion for investing and trading. After turning a small investment into significant profits, Jerremy dove headfirst into the world of finance, eventually building multiple seven- and eight-figure businesses. But his journey wasn’t without setbacks. In his early twenties, he famously lost $1.2 million trading options — a painful lesson that fueled his determination to truly master the markets.

Today, through The Wealth Alchemist, Jerremy teaches entrepreneurs, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals how to build wealth intentionally instead of relying solely on their businesses for financial security.

One of the biggest takeaways from the episode was Jerremy’s belief that many entrepreneurs are trapped in a scarcity mindset, even when they are financially successful. He explained that business owners often believe they must hit a certain revenue number before they can enjoy life, only to discover that achievement alone does not create happiness.

Instead, Jerremy encourages people to start investing in assets, even with small amounts of money, and to use wealth as a tool for freedom, presence, and experiences. Whether it’s spending more time with family, traveling, or simply reducing financial stress, wealth should support the life people truly want to live.

Pam and Jerremy also explored the emotional and spiritual side of money, discussing how mindset, fulfillment, and financial success are deeply connected. As Jerremy shared, money itself is not the goal — freedom and alignment are.
